First Month - October 2001

 

This is a report of the profit results from AirSource Directors in our organization based on the first month after launching the new AirSource business opportunity. Each person listed below is a current AirSource Director or a brand new Director in AirSource and are listed in the order they were brought into the business. Starting at the top with Gary Burke, each Director is then listed in their direct sponsorship line.

 

Please keep in mind that the reported profits earned are based on pre-orders and that in many cases no product was available to sell retail for most of these Directors. Some Directors have only received their product shipment at the end of October 2001 and so their profit amount may only represent bonus income with no retail profits included. Also, some of the Directors listed are brand new to the business so their reported profits represent their first month based on either Associate level earnings or Director level earnings as so marked - *Director % or ***Associate %.

 

As you will see by this report, it does not matter when you come into this business nor does it depend on your current position in the sponsorship line. Your profits will depend only your desire, effort and performance

 

We cannot guarantee what you will earn in AirSource for that is only up to you and what you decide to do. The reason for this report is to show you the potential earnings available to you with AirSource based on the incomes of those people who have already started to build their business.  Better Then Expected  

Here's the scoop on what happened in our group with AirSource.

Many of the pre-ordered units in our personal group and downline never got credited (paid for) in October, so I will admit I was slightly discouraged and was not sure how good our bonus check would be.  We had just about 700 ordered in the group but only 474 were credited in October. 

Still our check was $17,002 and we were HAPPY!  Celeste Edwards (1st level) moved 90 units in her personal group and her total bonus check was nearly $13,000!  We both became AirSource Master Coordinators. Also Chuck and Nancy Serio (1st level) became AirSource Key Coordinators.  It just gets gooder and gooder.

Quite honestly, I will also admit that after our 36 units arrived and I had seasoned them, when some folks decided to not purchase the unit after 3 days or so, I went through a day or two of strange feelings and real doubt (stupid I know, we always talked about 1 out of 3, but just being honest) but how pleasantly gratifying to realize that our close rate now is about 50% overall.  Example: Of the last 8 I tried to pick up, 5 were purchased!
(Is this good or what?!)  How exciting this is!  We are really running low on units now!  (Just ordered 24 more today.)

AirSource is so much fun.  Just one quick story:

Our AirSource Opportunity Newsletter went out in early October and one of them was delivered to a wrong address to someone unfamiliar with Shaklee and, of course, AirSource.  They became interested and 1) tried a unit when they were available [two-week safe ownership] 2) came to our AirSource Opportunity meeting last week, and 3) are probably getting a BizPak and also joining Shaklee and switching to Shaklee products in their home!

Father & Daughter Both Earning Well.

Just talked to my daughter Amber to see what her AirSource income was for October.  She indicated that some of her units for her Associates will be credited in November, but despite that her income was: 
$2,600 (bonus check) + profits from personal sales was $1,550 ==  $4,150 !!

Her rank in Shaklee is “Director”! Add the $4,150 to her Shaklee bonus brings her monthly income to over $6,000!!

PS:  My income from AirSource came to $7,796 plus profits from personal sales were $2,300 for a total of  $10,000 !  Add this to my Shaklee bonus for a monthly income of over $20,000!!

I had to go see the business loan officer at my bank to set up our new AirSource account.  So, I determined in advance that as long as I was there talking numbers I was also going to show him what we were doing, viz., AirSource.  Being a seasoned loan officer he listen without emotion to everything I said until I got to the part about what AirSource does to mold.  

He immediately interrupted me to say, "I have a friend to died of that...my colleague here at the bank."  He went on to tell me the really sad story of a female colleague who had needed to move back home with her parents temporarily, into the basement bedroom of their new $300,000 home.  The basement had mold.  She suffered an overwhelming immunological collapse in reaction to the mold.  She never recovered and eventually died from her depleted condition.  My banker then looked at me, sad and fierce, asked a few questions, and said, "I'll take two.  My mother and I both have asthma, and I want one for her and one for me."

I then had to go on to my banker's associate at another branch to straighten out some things.  So, I determined in advance that I was also going to tell this second bank officer what I was doing, viz., AirSource.    My previous banker had already called her and told her what I was marketing, and before I could even say "photo-ionization" this new bank officer said, "I know what this is about, and I have spoken with one of my colleagues here who wants to buy one from you when they are available."  Golly!

Three sales in less than an hour, without ever seeing the product, and I never even got into my presentation.   Pretty obviously there are plenty of people out there who know the importance of this issue, and they are hungry for solutions.  This is fun.

Just thought I'd let you know that I sold six units today.  This individual was going to buy three so I talked to them about the special pricing of the BizPack and they are going to buy them.  They are also going to consider becoming a representative for AirSource.  I currently have three other units out being evaluated.  Hope they go as well!

Business Talk was Gloom & Doom Until My Turn With AirSource!

Just got back from a networking breakfast group. (A travel agent, a realtor, a financial advisor,  a temporary help agent, a bank manager and  an ad exec were there). As each person introduced themselves and their business, talk around the table was gloom & doom. Slow sales, downsizing, etc.

 
Finally it was my turn. I said my name and told them all how excited I am about the future! Eyebrows raised. Ears opened up. I told them I market health and wellness products... and regardless of the slow economy and other things going on in the world, health is always an issue.
 
I told them about my involvement with the brand new division Shaklee set up to market this fantastic new air purification unit. And then I told them how awesome it is to be able to offer people an opportunity to make money right now, when all kinds of layoffs are being made. I told them I truly believe this will be a huge time of growth in network marketing because people are looking for ways that they can help each other. People were nodding, paying attention! And then they asked me to tell them more at the next breakfast on the 26th. Can you bring a unit? they asked. We'll set aside time for a longer presentation.

One man said his wife has asthma...he was quite interested, told me I might have my first sale. I am pumped! And just in case they don't want to wait 2 weeks to hear more, I am going to invite them to my presentations (every Tuesday noontime get-togethers, and 2nd & 4th Monday evenings).

My time is now, I feel it!

6 Units a Week for 6 Months Completely Pays off My Mortgage!! 

Hi Barb,
This past Thursday, Cindy came over and we took three hours to canvas my area.  We got four places that were willing to have me bring in a unit (a real estate office, a day care, a nail salon and a consignment shop.  Today I went out for an hour and got another consignment shop and a dry cleaners to try it. That's six.

I'm leaving for Atlanta Thursday and will spend two days prospecting around my daughter's neighborhood hitting the consignment shops, real estate offices, hair salons and day care centers.

I've been doing some thinking outside the box and have figured out that if I am able to sell 6 units a week for six months, I will be able to completely pay off my mortgage!!  With that out of the way, I will have accomplished my number one goal for this coming year.  You saw my affirmations.  I can't believe the figures that I came up with, but here they are:
6 x $400.=$2400 a week
$2400 x 4 wks = $9600
$9600 x 6 months = $57600.  I owe $59,000 but you figure the saving by paying larger sums each month will even that out.

This is VERY exciting.  I know I can do it.  I just finished reading the book, Eat That Frog  and it says to take care of your biggest project. Also, it said to prioritize your goals and work at accomplishing that one first. In addition, I have four individuals who want to try them in their homes and one for me makes a total of eleven right there.

I've ordered six but when they call I will order six more.

I stopped by a gym today and the woman wanted to know I could prove it was doing what I said.  I could just tell her she would smell the difference.

I also stopped by another real estate office and woman was on her way out but took my material and said she'd share it at her next office meeting. She did suggest I get an exhibitor's booth at next year's real estate convention in Traverse City next October.  She was on her way to it when I popped in.

This is all for now.  I'm pumped and excited to be thinking outside the box for a change.  My second goal is that new Cadillac!

I thought I'd relate a story of what happened to me this week. I was at my dry cleaners, and the new clerk who had waited on me for the past month was at the counter. I noticed the strong smell of dry-cleaning chemicals, and thought of how attentive and friendly the clerk had been, and asked casually as I picked up my order if she would be interested in testing a new, high-tech air purifier. She brightened and immediately said yes.
 
She volunteered that she had asthma, and she was excited to see if the machine would help her. Then I mentioned that there would be a way to earn a unit for herself, and even make pretty good money selling the units. I observed that she probably wasn't getting rich at her present job. She agreed, and said it was hard being a single mom making $8 an hour. I went to my car, got a few materials, brought them back in, and promised to get a unit for her to try and some more information on the earning potential. She was thrilled!
 
I went home, got a unit and some more tapes and dropped them off with a promise to see her when I returned to KC on Monday. The moral of the story for me is that first, there are hundreds of thousands of bright people stuck in low-end jobs who have the potential to become so much more if they just had a vehicle. Second, it feels incredibly good being a messenger for that vehicle. I have no idea where this will lead, but I may have just vastly enriched a person's life and given her hope for the future, and I may have found another Carolyn Spargur (Master Coordinator extraordinaire who started 35 years ago as a single mom with three kids making $350 a month). Paying attention to the people we are around every day is a great idea!

You don't want to be saying a year from now "I wish I had..."

Our first AirSource 3000 (prototype) arrived Friday July 6, 2001. I could not believe how quiet it is. We placed it at the end of a lunch counter in our kitchen. It is about 4' off the floor. Our kitchen is in the center of our home. The kitchen area is served by both of our air conditioning systems so the AirSource unit should get the job done on both ends of our home.

We have just over 3000 s.f. and I expect this unit will do quite well from this location. The change in the air began immediately, in the area near the unit. As time passes you can tell where the air is much improved by walking through it, as you pass from one area of the house to another.  We are already very impressed with the unit. We will keep you posted.

The RISK involved in building a Shaklee business is minimal compared to any other business I know of.  But now we have a remarkable new opportunity, a second chance if you will, with the introduction and launch of AirSource.  It is absolutely ground-floor!  Nobody has one!  Not one single person you know has one of these gadgets in their home.  Millions of homes have some type of air "filtering" machine in their home.  Many will move up to an AirSource model when they see the performance and cost difference.  Millions of homes have no type of air filter or air purifier in them, but many of these homeowners will make a decision to purchase something to clean the air in their home.  What will they buy?

In my opinion, having been involved in many new product launches over my years in Shaklee, nothing has compared to the simplicity of AirSource.  Just plug it in and in minutes you can demonstrate what this machine will do.  I had a member in my office a few days ago and I said to him, take a look at something I have in the hallway.  He thought it was really neat!  I went to the kitchen and sliced an onion and rubbed it on his hand and told him to hold his hand in front of the machine while I got the stuff from the office he came for.  In a minute he was laughing because he could not believe the onion smell was gone.  I then lit a wooden match in the hallway and blew it out and the hall filled with the sulphur/smoke smell.  In another minute or so, it too was gone and nothing but fresh air remained! He was amazed and impressed!

He then asked what all is involved in operating it?  I simply said that all you do is plug it in.  It will clean the air in up to 3000 sq ft of your home, even two levels like our house if properly placed (such as our hallway).  Once a year you replace the  UV bulb which costs $39 and  it only uses the power of running a 50 watt light bulb.  There are no filters to change or clean, nothing else you have to do.  Just plug it in and forget about
it and you'll begin to notice the "fresh air" in your home the first day and after 3 days the air in your entire home (area of use up to 3000 sq ft) will be stabilized and fresh and clean.

He said- "I want two as soon as they come in!"  I told him that Shaklee had a special launch promotion going right now and asked him if he thought he might be able to find  4 other people who might want one once they see his and he said- "you bet!"  I said that if he orders a 6 pack, keeps two for his home and sells the other 4, not only would his two personal units be paid for free and clear, but he would still have an extra $450 cash money left over to put in his pocket. He said  that sounded too good to be true.  I said- but it is true!

I then told him about the new Shaklee MasterCard and how he could use that to purchase the 6 pack and not have to borrow from the bank, or use any of his own money to do this.  He took the MasterCard form and the biz-pack form and it is a done deal!  This whole event took place in about 10-15 minutes.  I showed him no literature, no presentation material, no video--just the machine, a couple of impressive demos, and explained the simplicity and hassle free operation of the unit.  The machine made the sale, the 6 pack offer made it look and sound even  better!

A year or two from now, you don't want to be saying
"I wish I had..."

The AirSource meeting at HCC was one of the best and most exciting in some time.  We had a packed house with a number of excellent speakers. 
 
Bob Naumann, HVAC installer, did a great job teaching us about what is currently available in the market for him to install to clean indoor air.  A bit pricey at $1500 to $2000 too!  He commented that there's no 3 day trial or return if someone doesn't think it helps.  Bob is extremely excited about the very reasonable cost of AirSource considering what it can do to purify indoor air.
 
My daughter Lisa & husband Jason confirmed that the AirSource unit has an amazing capacity to address some serious air quality problems.  They used it to clean the mold from their bedroom air (nasal congestion cleared up), totally remove the odors from a large unfinished basement which also housed a litter box for 3 cats and take all smoke odor from one of their cars.  They said that their skepticism was totally removed when the AirSource worked beyond their expectations.
 
Lowell very aptly presented a number of points about the value of AirSource and the serious money that can be made by anyone who is willing to share this amazing technology with others.
 
Now, the best part for me.  This may not excite you, but it sure does me.  I have been talking about AirSource for a couple of months now and have a long list of people willing to try it in their home for 3 days.  This has been pretty easy because I'm not asking for any money, only for an opinion. 
 
I have also been inviting people to the meetings we have been having with some success, but last night I was blessed to have 12 NEW AirSource prospects attend.  Three were couples, one of whom came all the way from Allentown, Pa.  Two couples are ordering 12 units each, 1 couple is ordering 1 Biz pack (6 units), 2 people said they are very interested and will each be ordering Biz packs.  I'm confident that the others have a strong interest & will probably be ordering during this pre-launch also.
 
In my 20 years in Shaklee, I have never introduced a product that has been so well received, especially considering that it is a "big ticket" item.  So, you might be wondering what I'm doing to get such a good response.  Well, here's the secret............
  
I'm talking.  Yes, that's it.  Simply sharing with everyone (after I ask their permission for a minute of their time) my excitement about AirSource, it's amazing technology & health benefits.  The usual response I'm getting after I get out my "benefits" statement is, WOW,  it does all that! Often, their next statements are:  I have mold in my house, my kids have allergies, my sister has asthma, etc.  I've never had so many unsolicited referrals.
 
If you aren't convinced yet that this product has the potential to earn you a very substantial income while it's helping people breath clean air, or you aren't sure how to approach someone, I will be happy to help.  Give me a call.

The Number of AirSource Units Keep Growing Larger

At this time, our total group numbers are at 300+ AirSource units pre-sold. A great amount of this number has come from McKenny's group which I think is around 130. But these numbers change every day so where we will end up by October 31 is anyone's guess! You have great and exciting things to look forward to as well as anyone you introduce to AirSource!

Below is a message Lowell Sheets sent to me of what is happening in his group. Very interesting!  

To our Shaklee (and now AirSource) Family:

Haven't you always wanted to be a part of something really big...something great...something worthwhile.. something that really made a difference in the lives of people we touch each day??? 

The AirSource phenomenon is becoming just that for not just myself, but for many others in our group and in groups around the country.  AirSource tells us that more than 45,000 units have been preordered already!  Though there were delays, real production units are now getting in the hands of folks who ordered them in early June!

As most of you know, lots of the first units produced were sent immediately to New York for the many hospitals, shelters and care facilities to help with the crisis situation there—no one will say how many units because it was NOT done for publicity or recognition.) 

There are so many stories of excitement from our group that could be shared with you... Here are just a couple: 

One young, newly-married couple (20 yr olds!) attended last Thursday's meeting at the local college.  They left so excited he could hardly sleep.  Since then they have ordered 12 units, shared this with his Mom who ordered 6 units, have a meeting set up for Friday night, and have 3 others interested in jumping into the business.  They truly believe they will be directors with 48 units sold in October (guess what...I believe them too!) 

Another gentleman who attended our meeting, told me 3 days later that 1) He has not been able to breathe through his nose in years, has sleep apnea, uses a machine to help him at night and still gets very little good rest, 2) that after being in our large meeting room with 2 prototypes running for only an hour or so, he actually could breathe through his nose!, and 3) he faxed in his order for 48 units on Monday the 1st!

Celeste tells me she had 5 new people there and got 5 orders for 1 or more BizPaks! 

How many people can we help with cleaner air?? How many people can we help with a brighter future???I have done a little figuring and so far have counted up orders for over 590 units in our current group.

AirSource Numbers Keep Growing

Hi Gary,

Just another update on how our AirSource organization growth is coming along. I did another count to see if we reached the 300 unit goal set to be done by September 30th. We just passed it by 12 units and based on the last two in-home meetings we did this pass week, another 36 units were sold!

I was thinking of setting a new goal of 400 units by the end of October now that we again passed the 300 unit goal early like we did for August but instead, this time I decided to set it for 500 units so that maybe it would be harder to meet.  

I know my group will meet this goal as well because what I am finding with AirSource is that setting a goal is hard to do because it never seems to be high enough!

I strongly believe that if any current Shaklee Directors did not join AirSource by this time, then they really did not investigate it very closely. Surly it is ok if they do not want to build an AirSource business but I would really like to know what their reasons would be. I just cannot think of any reason not to build AirSource but I sure can come up with a whole lot of reasons why they should!

I would suggest they get in contact with their upline Director who is in AirSource and ask them why they have joined AirSource. If they happened to own a prototype, ask if they can try it for a couple of days. This product is by far one of the best that Shaklee has ever offered us and the health results it is providing in such a short time is like a miracle!

This does not even mention the monthly profit............. which is unbelievable and like a dream!
